The video was first about how the Facebook algorithm works. She talks about how we have been using technology since cavemen days, etc. She talks about how the market leeches money off of social media apps from us and why. The market works off of our profiles and how our identities bring them success. Social media has influenced in a quite a lot of ways. One being that i can get easily influenced into downloading an app of some sort, or seeing a speech and it influences me to be better. I've also seen social media post that influence me to buy a product shown and waste my money. Many times have i been influenced by social media post, app, ads, etc.
I do agree with everything said in the video. I have been influenced, as well as friends of mine. Being influenced from social media is such an easy thing you don't realize. My friends and family have spending money because of social media for a long time.

Intertextuality is when one text makes a reference to another text, this may either be directly or indirectly. Three types are obligatory, optional, and accidental. Obligatory is when the author deliberately invokes a comparison between two text. Optional is when there's a possibility for there to be a reference but it isn't very direct. Accidental is when it make a connection without it being direct.
Obligatory ex: Bart and Homer compared as son and dad. Another would be in Naruto when he turns into a fox. Finally, in Moby Dick it would be them comparing the whale to the ship. |
